There has been a fairly new trend when it comes to centerpieces, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It is called "suspended centerpieces" or rather a centerpiece that hangs over your table, rather than one that sits on it. This style certainly adds a bit of drama to your table, but the good type of drama. When done correctly, it can simply take your breath away.
Check out a few of my favorites. Surprisingly, there aren't too many photos out there just yet, but I love everyone I've come across lately.

The look can be achieved in a variety of ways. You can use large groupings of flowers, or perhaps individual blooms (that monochromatic white table is just stunning isn't it?). You can also get creative and use candles or even rings of fabric. The sky is the limit (no pun intended).
Having your centerpiece floating above you certainly gives you some benefits. Not only does it allow you more room at the table, but it also gets rid of the worry that your guests won't be able to see or speak to someone across the table.

If you are interested in the look, however, you do have to keep a few
things in mind. First, your venue. What types of ceilings does it have? A
hanging centerpiece may not be as feasible if they have really tall
ceilings. Also, be sure to clear it with the venue to ensure you can
hang things from the ceiling or any other structural element in the
room. Secondly, your florist. Make sure you bring them examples of what
you are looking for and a layout and dimensions of your venue. Your florist needs to ensure they have a method of getting your centerpieces suspended properly.
Is this a style you would be willing to try at your wedding? If so, please tell us below. And if you achieved this look at your reception, we would love to see pictures!
