Take a deep breath...are you ready?

She BURNED her DRESS! Can you believe it? This girl has got guts. For more from this shoot check out the mini-site Mike has created here. You can even check out an awesome video from the shoot on the site. It is so out there, but yet so tastefully done. Who knew that liquor, guns and fire would make for such a kick-ass Trash the Dress session?
You can check out more work from Michael Maler Photographer on his website, as well as on his blog. Don't forget to follow him on Twitter too (@mmaler). I can only image what he has up his sleeves for a project we are working on in a few weeks....(insert evil laughter here).
We want to know what you think! Would you go this far?

I really don't like this at all - she looks like she is trying WAY TOO HARD to be all "bad a**". And burning the dress - it's kind of like burning a flag - it's all the wrong kinds of karma. The idea of the trash the dress pics is kind of good (sans the burning) - but these look way to contrived.

I liked this concept a lot - not that I would have the heart to do it, or would my mother ever talk to me again after, however it certainly was a ballzy move that i respect. If that is their style it's great. They were able to show a little edge and personality after the wedding photos that all to often come out very "contrived" and unrealistic, this shows personality i hope i can think of something as interesting!

Great pics from the photographer...but why would you want to do this in your wedding dress? I love trash the dress photos of water, paint, and such but this is just trashy! I get the point and hope this wasnt her real wedding dress! Its just going a little too far I guess.

I find this really repulsive. If she didn't want her dress anymore, how about donating it to a charity that gives wedding dresses to brides who want to feel beautiful on their day but can't afford it? This trend of "trash the dress" is disgusting and I hope people stop doing it.

Let her do what she damn well pleases with her dress. I love the shots and I'm a bit surprised at the above reactions. Most women box their dress up and it never gets worn again so what difference does it make?
Love the shot of them walking away from the burning dress!
Anyway...fun session I'm sure!

While burning the actual dress may be too over-the-top for me, she has the right to do with it as she pleases. I do like the idea of donating it, but they've also created a memory that they both enjoyed and will have for the rest of their lives. I'm sure everyone involved had a blast doing it. Seeing a dress get burned is a tough pill to swallow for many, but if it makes them happy, I'm fine with it.

As soon as it showed the pic of her taking off her dress standing next to the trash can I was like, "no way, she is gonna burn the dress!"
It's something I would never be able to do, but looking at it from a creative side.. The pictures are so powerful I don't know how else to explain it! The photographer must have had a field day with this. (I know I would have)
I was shocked and intrigued at the same time.
Amazing pictures!

What's the music used on the gallery soundtrack? It sounds like NIN, and I would love to know what song it is.
