Sweet DIY Wreath

Food Network Magazine, Marshmallow Wreath

This is for all of you craft-loving foodies out there. Food Network magazine published a whole series of food inspired holiday wreaths with easy instruction guides in their December issue.  If you like this one, you’ll definitely like the others.

Holidays aside, I thought this would be a cute alternative to a floral wreath at a ceremony, because if it’s going to be hung outside, flowers won’t last in the cold anyway. Also, it can be used as decoration at the reception’s candy bar or my personal favorite, hot chocolate bar!  It doesn’t scream holidays to me and if you’re willing, it can be a fun DIY project. Plus, it only takes about 30 minutes to create.

Instructions: Insert about 150 toothpicks halfway into a 12-inch flat foam wreath, then skewer a marshmallow onto each toothpick. Refrigerate overnight to set. Hang and wait for the compliments to pour in.
